I am the happiest girl in the world today! I've finally experienced a thunderstorm in California. Thunder and lightening storms are one of my favorite things and something I have greatly missed living here for the last two years.

In the past, the television has teased about thunderstorm warnings, and I have gotten excited only to be disappointed by the single strike. Today however for the first time I have had an afternoon of thunder. Unfortunately we don't have windows in our house that point the direction of the lightening, but some still reflected in the glass of the garden room by my office which made me happy.

It’s soothing and relaxing. It’s a little shot of normality back in my life. It’s exactly what I needed!
