A Jump On Halloween
Randomness

I've been working on planning out our front yard haunt to scare the trick or treaters! This is year two and I have more time to plot and plan this year.

I've been searching sites and stores for my options. The Halloween stores are opening and all the stores are getting in their stuff in and I'm ready to buy!!! I have so many ideas and I'm very excited.

So now as I'm excited I started looking for the professional haunts that I love attending. I really want to see a couple this year. I'm ready and rearing to go NOW!!! I'm finding though that no one is quite as ready as I am. The sites still have their info from last year up. No one is ready with this years themes and schedules.

I'm so sad! Come on guys!! Here Comes Halloween!!!!!!!!!!

Massive list of DIY Halloween props. Was just looking at this and daydreaming the other day (and cursing the fact that I live in an apt on the 18th floor).

This year for some reason I have been thinking about Halloween quite a bit. Maybe because I wrote a bit on it for the magazine. Dunno.

I do enjoy the holiday (widely-celebrated pagan holiday? Hell yeah!), but I hate the actual day because, like most holidays, it seems to boil down to an excuse for stupid people to drive drunk. Maybe I'll dress up this year, though.

Maybe.

That is a great website Ryan!!! I've picked out a couple of projects that I will be doing.

Both of you are welcome to come and help me play in my yard!! :)

I started getting ready about a month ago, but Halloween has always been a big day for me. Check out my photos for this year's preparations so-far.

Also you can see some of my previous halloween deco, I'm particularly proud of the Pirate themed one (2003). http://www.myclownfish.com/ampherion/gallery/Holidays/

Mike - your ghost ship is pretty cool!!

One of the big differences in what we are doing is we are taking one theme and slowly building it bigger and bigger each year. That and its really only for trick or treaters - its set up like a haunted house where you walk through and get scared with treats at the end!! We have really cool treats this year too. No candy just glow in the dark bouncy balls as well as the glowing braclets or maybe necklaces like everyone loves!

We figured out most of our order last night and also what we need to be building. Kevin and I each have an important project!
