Take care of you, sweetie! I don't remember much of the week I had mine out between high school and college, but I'm a pain wimp and was on the Tylenol 4+ Codeine as often as permitted. The worst for me was the saline washes I had to wrinse my mouth out with in the weeks after. I like salty things, by that was more than salty, almost into another taste itself. Anyway, if there is anything I can do to help you out, let me know.
They didn't give me the saline washes, at least not yet they haven't. I go back in for a check up next week.
I have Codine here, but so far I haven't needed it. That won't last I know.
You need a cut off syring-ie thing to best rinse out your holes. Which you will tenatively and disgustedly locate with your tongue when you regain control of it.
One of my funniest moments was eating smoothie with a spoon and Mark having to point out that it was running down my chin onto my shirt. Ooops.
they threw away your teeth? meanies.
Yeah I had some dribble issues a bit earlier. it was funny, the only reason i knew it was happening was i would feel it hit my chest, i never felt it go down my chin.
I mostly have my tongue back now and I have graduated to soft cut up mac & cheese. Chin is still numb but I'm starting to feel the soreness in my jaw. finally took one codine to prevent soreness from changing to pain. I'm happy I'm doing quite well. I've been playing video games and watching nym stalk birds and such.
Yeah, I'm a little miffed about the teeth, would have been fun to photograph, but I guess its party my fault, I didn't ask ahead of time.
Oh look, buffy in the play.... bye!
Squirty thing, missy, squirty thing - those holes are big, and you don't want chunks of mac'n'cheese taking up residence in there. Plus, you can't really swish too well at first because you don't want any vaccuum action pulling loose the blood clots. Yeah, I know, lalalala.
Kev and I read over the instructions and they said that I can't rinse at all until tomorrow. So tomorrow morning Kevin will get me a spritzy thing and life in less tooth land will be good.
thanks for the advice
