Anything you want to tell me feel free!! I would love to hear any comments about the new site design. Oh and look, up in the address bar, I HAVE A FAVICON!!!!! (the cool little replica of my logo next to the url - hee).

Comments

I like the black background so much better than the grey. It brings out the colors so sharply. I like the new layout too - it looks much more custmized. The wallpaper look of the old site was a little "off the shelf." I wish my screen dimensions kept the individual picture info boxes visible without scrolling up and down. Might want to reposition those comments somehow.

This is about the best I can do for the comments without decreasing the size of the photograph. I moved them lower down so that the picture and the navigation would always appear above the fold on all browsers and thumbnails will appear above the fold fro some, but will at least show the top so people will know to scroll down. In that area, there is not a lot I can do.

Kevin and I are still debating the usefulness of the background color change. I agree the Black pops the photos more, but I don't think the grey diminishes them. I might be wrong. We are figuring out what options I have based on our programming skills and then I'm going to put together the options and get a few selected reader opinions. I'm planning on sending the info to you and Mark both.

Thank you both for sending me your views of the new site. It really helps get a sense of things through other people's eyes!

Even the gray with a hint of color would be better imho...

It is very deadening to the site's look. A bluish tone to it; something.....?

The photos are very beautiful-- they deserve a great backdrop.

Hey Rachel. I'm a new person to stumble on your site, during a thinking nighttime surf on the web. I have left some comments on various stuff. I hope you don't mind. I love your pictures and storys. You have a gift, and you are very good at it. God bless.

PS I like the site the way it is, it's amazing Kev!
