Grumpy Like The Dickens
Rant , Water

Woke up in a state of hormonal induced grumpiness to begin with.

(It kind of sounds like I'm trying to write a Dickens novel here doesn't it? Marley was dead: to begin with...)

So already grumpy wasn't a good forecast for the day. But I thought, hey its Thursday - that's biking morning with Kevin - after some good exercise I will feel really good and my mood will pick up.

However in my Dickens classic all three ghosts were currently out to lunch.
My bike was stolen!

btw, Karen - if it doesn't show up, I'll get you a new one.

The bike was Karen's, but she hasn't needed it in a while so she lent it to me. *big sigh*

Boo. Boo on stupid people. Boo on people that steal other people's things. Just boo in general, as it really should be Friday today, IMO. :(

Hang in there. :)

So this post actually happens to tell something interesting about me. Well it did, till I fixed it.

I have a theatre background, I have read several Dickens stories as well as having performed in and worked tech on a couple versions of A Christmas Carol. I have also viewed it many many times.

When I first wrote this post the version of the Dickens quote I used was not the original as it is now. No, instead the one that comes to mind and gets put down is "The Marley's were dead to begin with.." yes - that is the version of the line from the Muppet Christmas Carol. *grin*

Aaaaah! Where was your bike? In the back yard??? Yipes!

No, not in the backyard... but in a semi secure place where Kevin is employed. In an area only reached by use of a badge or with someone who has a badge.

The best part about it was that the person removed the helmet from hanging on the handlebars and set it nicely on Kevin's bike before taking mine. *sighs*

I find this amusing only because Kev already told me (before I read the post) that the bike had been both stolen and recovered. :)

Glad they found it so you can continue to enjoy riding with Kev. Either way, it's better than having the bike slowing rust to pieces in my shed.
